FREE Patriotic FLAG Bead PATTERN!

PATRIOTIC FLAG
PEYOTE BEAD TUBES: These beads have a flag pattern:
With size 11 or delica seed beads, put on first row in this order:
__
(1.) One red, one white, one red, one white, one red, one white, one red, two blue, one white, two blue.
__
(2.) Second Row, work peyote stitch using the same color bead required to fill the "hole", with one exception, when you are at a blue section, alternate it with a white,(for the stars) then a blue on each subsequent row. The second row will begin with a blue bead.
__
Here is a tutorial on how to do peyote stitch. http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com/large/peyotebracelet.html
Original post February 2006
__
Make a flat piece of peyote using this pattern for a total of 5 end beads on each side (10 actual rows) Your bead will be 12 beads long, by 5 beads wide. Then zip it up, using the "zip" technique. Most beading magazines have this tip in the back pattern section if you aren't familiar with it.

THANK YOU...These are cute! I'm sending the pattern to a few of my friends. I've made the tubes before so these should work up pretty quick!

  3. You're very welcome! PS. It is easier if you just highlight the area and hit select if you want to print it out, otherwise you will end up printing the entire blog..

So I put a blue on one row when I reach the blue section and on the next row I put a white in the blue section? Just want to ask about that. Can't wait to make these for the 4th. Thank you for a free pattern!
